The Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) is an open-source guitar software plugin that creates realistic simulations of analog gear, especially guitar amplifiers. The plugin utilizes neural amp modeling technology, which employs neural networks and machine learning algorithms to replicate the behavior and characteristics of real amplifiers. NAM loads *.nam files, enabling users to access a vast collection of meticulously crafted amp and pedal models. For MOD units search for the models with the #nano-mdl tag, as heavier models might not work. NAM was created by Steven Ack and the LV2 version is maintained by Mike Oliphant.
